UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MALAYSIA
In this course, you will learn the advanced technique of numerical simulation specifically designed for engineers and postgraduates to differentiate themselves from the beginners. You will learn how to perform mesh refinement study using an advanced method. This technique is significant to avoid using huge computational loads as compared to other conventional methods. This technique is not only able to find the optimum mesh size but can correlate with the extrapolated error by comparing with ideal mesh size. In other words, this method can quantify the numerical error until you achieve desired acceptable limit. Besides, you will learn how to select the right turbulence models so that you can further minimize discretization errors to the minimum. Apart from technical perspective, you will be equipped with a professional way to present your result or finding using the right contour plots and line graph. This skill will help you produce a professional and impressive journal, conference, and dissertation report that is a way better than the beginner. This course is aimed at intermediate learners of numerical simulation to advance their skills and technique with data analysis. I am sure, you will be confident once you have all these skills and knowledge to apply right after taking this course. There are no hard prerequisites, and any competent computer user should be able to complete the project successfully.
